Initiative for European Progress
A new social contract. A Europe for all.

The Initiative for European Progress is an independent, non-profit civic initiative based in Athens, Greece. Founded in July 2025, our mission is to turn the principles and ideals of the European Union into actual results in law, in society, and in everyday life.

This is not a typical think tank or top-down foundation. This is an initiative for liberal citizens across Europe to mobilize for tangible change because progress means changing the status quo, advocating for justice, fighting entrenched interests, and holding politicians accountable.

We believe Europe is more than a political union. It is our shared culture of democracy, justice, inclusion, and sustainability. Our Initiative brings together citizens, experts, and institutions to build a future where European values are not only protected, but enacted.

Our Purpose

To showcase European values through grassroots action:

• Rule of law that respects and protects all citizens

• An inclusive public system of healthcare, education, and welfare

• Rights and equality for all, regardless of gender, origin, or identity

• Transparent institutions and accountable governance

• Active citizens who participate in democratic life

• Environmental justice and sustainability

• Protection of shared cultural heritage

Our Pillars

• Rule of Law
  We analyze, monitor, and advocate — so that all citizens can be equal under the law.

• Rights Without Exceptions
  Gender equality, disability rights, LGBTQI+ rights, and social inclusion no one should be left behind.

• Participatory Democracy
  Digital tools, citizens’ assemblies, open dialogue, and deliberation because democracy must be lived, not just proclaimed.

• Digital Democracy
  Technology with a human face: ending digital exclusion, ensuring safety, and securing access for all.

• Environment & Social Justice
  The environment is a right, not a luxury. It is the foundation of any fair and forward-looking society.

• Cultural Heritage
  Protecting and showcasing cultural heritage must take priority over business interests and activities.

Our Actions

The Initiative for European Progress promotes volunteer grassroots engagement across its core pillars:

• Pro bono legal advocacy for vulnerable groups (domestic violence, worker rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, etc.)

• Pursues cases of corruption, supporting whistleblowers and ensuring confidentiality

• Exposes overreach by business and government that harms the environment and cultural heritage

• Organizes public discussions, forums, and debates

• Runs campaigns on inclusion and sustainability

• Produces educational content, both digital and print

• Conducts policy research and shares EU-wide best practices

• Collaborates with institutions, civic society, and academia

• Operates at local, national, and European level
